Event Terms and Conditions for GridCon Bookings

The following terms and conditions apply to everyone who attends a GridCon event (“Attendees”).

GridCon (the “Event”) refers to the event organised by Gaming Rules! Limited that takes place at a suitable venue (the “Venue”).

These terms and conditions shall be subject to the laws of England and Wales.

Purchase and Collection of Tickets

  1. Everyone wishing to access the areas of the Venue in which the Event is being held must have a valid ticket.
  2. There is no guarantee that tickets will be available for purchase at the Event. Tickets should be purchased in advance online at www.gridcon.co.uk before the Event sells out.
  3. All tickets purchased online in advance will be issued to the Attendee via email. If an Attendee arrives at the Event with no access to their ticket, they will be required to show Photographic ID to prove that the ticket is theirs.
  4. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All attendees require an individual ticket. However, only people aged 18 or over can book the tickets (an adult must book the tickets for anyone attending under the age of 18).

Cancellation, Non-attendance, and Refunds

  1. Everyone who has purchased a ticket is eligible for a refund (minus PayPal charges) if they announce their cancellation over 20 working days prior to the Event via email to contact@gridcon.co.uk from the email account with which the tickets were purchased.
  2. Within 20 working days prior to the event, tickets are not eligible for refunds.
  3. Tickets are non-transferrable. If you wish to change the name on a ticket you must apply for a refund and purchase a new ticket.
  4. Merchandise is non-refundable once the order deadline has passed. Prior to the order deadline, refunds (minus PayPal charges) can be requested via email to contact@gridcon.co.uk.

Events Beyond Our Control

  1. If the Event is cancelled prior to its commencement, the full cost of all tickets will be refunded.
  2. If the Event is terminated earlier than scheduled, the liability of the Organisers shall be limited to the cost of the tickets subject to a pro-rata reduction for that portion of the anticipated time for which the Event was scheduled to run which in fact fell before any such cancellation.
  3. In either case, the Organisers will not be held liable for any other costs incurred.
  4. The Organisers will not accept responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal possessions brought to the Event.

Admission and Prohibited Conduct

  1. GridCon is a welcome space for everyone regardless of age, race, religion / belief, biological sex, gender identity, sexuality, disability, pregnancy / parenthood, or appearance. The Organisers reserve the right to identify any attire, act or item as prejudiced and/or discriminatory and exclude the object and/or the owner from the Event.
  2. The Organisers similarly reserve the right to refuse entry to a prospective Attendee who presents or has presented a risk of attire, acts and/or items which would negatively impact upon the Event’s status as a discrimination-free zone.
  3. All attendees must adhere to the venue’s own terms and conditions whilst on the venue’s premises. The Organisers reserve the right to exclude any attendee who fails to conform to the venue’s terms and conditions with no refund.
  4. GridCon reserves the right to refuse admission on other grounds as the organisers see fit.
  5. Dogs, or other pets, can only be brought to the event with prior permission from the organisers, with the exception of service dogs, which are welcome.
  6. Per the venue’s requirements, it is prohibited to consume food and drink within the convention areas, that has not been purchased from the venue. If staying at the venue, you are allowed to consume your own food and drink within your bedroom.

Data Protection

  1. We will treat your personal information in accordance with UK and EU data protection legislation.
  2. We will only use your information for administration, communication and research.

Recording and Social Media

The Organisers reserve the right to film, record or photograph the Event. Attendees are advised that this may result in the inclusion of themselves within some recording or photographs published on social media.
