When is GridCon?
GridCon 6 will take place from 9am Friday 21st November until 6pm Sunday 23rd November 2025, at the Holiday Inn, Taunton, Somerset.
GridCon is a board game event focused on open gaming, so bring along your favourite games to play with like-minded gamers. There will also be an opportunity to try out new games, test prototypes, and meet some game designers or other industry people.
GridCon 6 will be held at the Holiday Inn Taunton, a wonderful venue with a variety of gaming rooms and fantastic facilities.
Please note that tickets for GridCon 6 are now sold out. However we are operating a waiting list, in case of any cancellations. If you would like to be on the waiting list please fill in the form here.

Library
Bring and Buy

There will be an extensive games library available at GridCon 6, with games available for you to borrow through the weekend. There will also be a special Hot Games Library, which includes some hot new games from Essen Spiel 2025! These games can be reserved at reception.

At GridCon 6, we will be providing a dedicated area for a Bring and Buy, to give you the opportunity to sell games you no longer want or purchase games being sold. Due to the size of the room, please limit yourself to 5 games each maximum in the room itself at any one time (you can switch them over during the weekend) and no games still in shrink wrap. All sales are arranged privately, and neither GridCon nor Gaming Rules! Ltd take part in, or any responsibility for the data shared or the sales arranged. If you want to advertise your games in advance, you can enter them on the Bring and Buy sheet will be available closer to the event.
Board Game Quiz
This year at Gridcon there will be a board game themed pub quiz. It will take place at 7pm on the Friday night. We would love to see teams of up to 4 people competing for the coveted title of “Gridcon 6 Pub Quiz Champions”.
If you think this will be something you would enjoy taking part in, grab a few friends (or some complete strangers if you like) and come test your knowledge of board games.
Treasure Hunt
On Saturday morning there will be a treasure hunt that will take place around the venue, for teams of 2 to 4 people.
The treasure hunt will take around 45 mintues to 1 hour to complete, and can be started anytime between 9am and 10am.
Games Organiser
For those people who prefer to plan some games in advance, there is an online organiser to use to look at what games are planned, sign up to somebody else’s game, or create your own. Please note that this organiser is not a complete list of games being played at the event and it is not a requirement to organise games in advance, but we know that some people prefer to plan their games ahead of time.
This year we are using Aftergame, it’s free to use, and you can either install the app or access it via the website (aftergame.co). The GridCon 6 event is private, and so in order to see it, you first need to be a member of the GridCon group within Aftergame. To request to join the group, go here.
Please note that when adding a game into the GridCon 6 event, the length of the game is estimated, but this may not be accurate depending on the experience of the players. Therefore please adjust the time as necessary, and if you’re joining an existing game please check if the time is accurate to avoid having your games overrun.
Charity Raffle
There will be a raffle run during GridCon 6 where you will have the chance to win some fantastic games. Tickets will be only available for purchase at the convention and they will be £5 each. Tickets will be cash only. The draw will take place around 12 noon on Sunday 23rd November, and prizes must be collected that afternoon. The charities benefiting from these donations will be confirmed closer to the event.
